Aaaah

So it is 7:34 AM and I've already been up for over 3 hours. There's so many things about that that are just not right! Sad as it is (or not, depending on your pov), I'm really not too upset about this. So far this morning, I've done 2 loads of laundry, folded the girls' clothes that have been sitting in the basket for about oh, a week, fed Emma breakfast, and now I'm sitting here waiting for Punk to get up. Yep. You read that right. She's still sleeping!! YAYAY! As much as I've hated letting her cry it out, I can literally feel my heart breaking, I honestly think that's what she needed. It is getting better too. Yesterday I only had to go in there once at nap time, and last night I probably didn't need to go in there at all, but I did, and she literally fell asleep 5 minutes after I put her to bed. Not only is she learning to self soothe as she goes to sleep, she's doing it through the night as well. She has been sooo much happier during the day (which I thought was near impossible) and she is sleeping longer at nap times and through the night. I'm hoping by the end of the week we don't have the whole crying thing. You gotta love the uncertainties of motherhood!

If you remember, we moved Emma upstairs on Tuesday. She LOVES having her room up there...during the day. Tuesday night Levi was here to play with her. They had tons of fun and come bed time you could tell she was a little hesitant but she did go to bed and slept until about 6:30 the next morning. She's always been an early riser so that wasn't so bad. Last night, we had a party. Sort of. Levi came over again because he'd had so much fun the night before and I called Erik to let him know that Ryan could come over too since Levi had been asking for him to come over on Tuesday night. Lynae called me about 4:30 to see what I was doing and she was going to come over to look at all the baby clothes. TOTALLY cool because then Emily and Lynae would both be here and they could both look through the clothes. So we had...hold on to your hats...Levi, Emma, Mads, Keigan, Breleigh, and Ryan here. It was a madhouse! The kids had tons of fun though and we really didn't have that many fights or meltdowns. ANYWAY, last night, was not so good for her sleeping wise. She woke up about 4 AM today. She said she had to go pee but I know she really wanted to get in bed with us. That is not something I want to start with her. Not that I would mind her sleeping in bed with us...but she hasn't ever done that and I don't want to start now, if that makes any sense. So, I help her go potty and put her back to bed. She was back up again at 4:45. I don't even remember what for now but she did go back to bed. 5:45 comes, Darik is getting ready to leave for work, and I hear her come downstairs and tell Darik she needs to go potty again. I'm thinking she's totally lying and just wants to get up. Well, poor baby had pooped her pants. :( She said her tummy hurt and she couldn't make it in time. I think it was just one of those nervous things though because so far this morning she's eaten a package of mini-muffins and a pop tart. Her stomach is obviously not too bad. I think she's just overwhelmed with change and we all know she does not do well with that...just like someone else I know *whistle*.

Emily and Lynae both took two full totes of clothes home. It made me feel so good about the situation. I still have a HUGE lawn bag full of baby clothes still but at least they won't have to buy much now. I'm contemplating calling Lisa to see if she needs stuff for Maia but I don't know that I have it in me. She'd just ruin everything. Emily and I decided last night that we're going to join together and have a joint garage sale this summer. She's going to get rid of Ryan's stuff and I've got all the stuff left from the girls...so, we figure we'll make more money if we just say "baby stuff" instead of only girl stuff or only boy stuff. I'm kind of excited about it honestly!

Emma and I both had dentist appointments yesterday. Thank God for Matt. He met us there since he was in Morris anyway and sat with Madelyn while we were in there. No cavities for me! YAY! I always kind of wince and wait to see how many I have since having kids. I never had a cavity until I had Emma...now I've had about 5. Damn kids! LOL Emma didn't really know what to think about the whole dentist visit. She'd been once before but she must have forgotten. She cried. A lot. In the end though she wound up doing fine and she's been talking about it ever since. No cavities for Miss Emma either!

Mom and I (well, and the girls too) are going shopping for Madelyn's party tonight. That ought to be an interesting grocery bill. On top of buying our normal groceries for the week, I also need to buy all the stuff for the party. If you know our family, food is not something that's taken lightly. We're making Italian beef, macaroni salad, potato salad, salada (tomatoes, peppers, and onions in oil and vinegar), calico beans, chilli cheese dip, chocolate chip cookies, and there's also going to be chips. Lord knows what else people will bring. Cooking day is Saturday.

Well, now that I've written a novella, I suppose I could stop!

Until next time...
