Is it really only 11 AM?

Wow.  It's been a long day already!  Today was the day that Madelyn had her adnoids removed.  The surgery itself went really well.  Her dr. told us her adnoids were HUGE and that she had very little bleeding.  Coming out of anesthesia was another story altogether.  She did not do well at all.  In fact, they had to sedate her because she was so out of control. :(  Now that we're home, you'd never know she'd even had surgery.  She's playing with Emma and acting pretty much like her normal self.  I will be most definitely alternating the tylenol and motrin every 3 hours though...I don't need her to be in pain and then me not be able to manage it.

To top the surgery off, Darik isn't feeling well.  Anyone who has a husband knows...the husband is usually worse than the kids when he is sick.  This house is no exception.

Needless to say, I'm ready for bed already!

Anyway, here's my pic for today and now I have to get Emma lunch before she heads back to school...can we say YAYAYAYA!!?!

Until next time...

thats great the surgery went well. My son had surgery for swollen lymph nodes when he was about 2. He did not do very well with the initial sedation(they gave him a medicine that would make it easier when he had to leave us) and didnt do well with coming out. He wanted to eat. I kept telling him he had to wait but he couldnt wait. It was not a fun experience!!

Awww....my baby girl. She looks so sweet with her paci! I am so glad that it went well. My now 18 yo had hers removed when she was 4. It was horrible afterwards cuz she threw up blood for a few hours! But, the reaction that Mady had....that is exactly what my DD#3 would do after every surgery. Wake up uncontrollable, kicking and screaming and crying. It was awful and totally out of character for her! Give Mady hugs!
